Activities

Activities During
Your Dog's Stay

We provide tailor-made activities to suit your dog so that they are happier, have lots of fun, with plenty of things to do and watch, and gentle or busy play times to suit their particular needs.

This is important so your dog will be contented, more relaxed and so thorougly enjoy their stay with us.

Dogs need exercise, fun, and to play games!

Some of our guests arrive in family groups and are quite happy in their own company, like Banjar, Bule & Teddi above.

Some guests come and meet up with lots of new friends.

Some guests prefer the company of one new and very special friend, like Buddie and Daisy who came, met and fell in love!!

Some guests, like Holly here, prefer human company to other dogs and are quite happy to walk and play with us (plus chat to Charlie!).

Whatever your dogs preference (even sitting on Tim's shoulders when they get tired like sweet Ruby!),

we will do whatever we can to make their stay entertaining and happy.

  • This is an average day for a fit adult dog
  • Adjustments are made to suit each individual dog
  • These times are varied to ensure that the dogs are never expecting something at a given time - and so they will never be disappointed
  • Our Activities vary between summer and winter

Outside Play:

Additional activities include: tennis, frisbee & football (dog rules apply!) in outside exercise areas or in our playbarn.

Agility-fun course for all sizes and abilities, including large tunnel of tractor tyres known as The Warren!

Small hills made in the exercise areas for playing on, behind and around, or just to lay on top of to maximise the fantastic view!

We have access to a large woodland at the end of our drive, plus hundreds of acres of countryside walks all around us.

Inside Play:

We have many 'boredom busters' including bacon flavoured bubble machines (they spurt out yummy smelling bubbles to chase!), noisy balls (they make various animal noises when played with and delight some dogs!)

Treats:

We provide doggy lollies in hot weather (kongs filled with frozen gravy) and treats for other times, and many more boredom busters. We also keep cookie jars on all the window sills filled with an assortment of treats.

Rainy Days:

We have a covered play barn which is great for when the weather is very hot or raining, or if dogs are a little nervous or elderly and prefer to stay closer to their bedrooms.

Hot Days:

On hot summer days we have small, solid paddling pools for the dogs to cool off in, these can also be placed in the individual runs if your dog is a water fanatic!

.

We are always open to suggestions! if your dog has a particular favourite pastime at home that we can do here as well - we will !!!
